Miss Smith's First Grade

Rules/Expectations
Our class discusses the Lincoln School Rules and the Classroom Expecations throughout the year. We share ideas and examples about what they mean for our class. These are recorded and displayed in the classroom.

We also discuss making choices, and how good choices are rewarded while poor choices have consequences.

Students are held accountable for their choices on our “Clip Chart.” Each student has a clip with his or her name. Every day the students start on green - Ready to Learn. Students "clip up" when they make good choices or "clip down" if they make poor choices.

Pride Paws Lincoln students may earn Pride Paws from any Lincoln staff member by making good choices. Student Pride Paws will be collected in our class Pride Paw box. Pride Paws will randomly be drawn each week from the box for prizes.

School Store Policy Lincoln's School Store has a variety of toys and school supplies that are great for use at home. In fact, they can be great motivators for homework! However, any items not on the first grade supply list will NOT be permitted in the classroom. These items continually distract learning and frequently become lost or stolen.
